The AGATA project has been aproved in April 2004 within the Communitarian Iniciative Interreg III B-MEDOC. The project leader is the Region of the Toscana (Italy). The consortium of the project is formed by:

Techno Mobility (Italy), the Public Transport Company of Florence -ATAF Spa (Italy), the Public Transport Company -CTP SpA (Italy), Terrassa City Council (Spain), Regional Environmental and Energy Agency of Algarve -AREAM (Portugal), Granada City Council (Spain), Marrakech City Council (Moroco).

The idea of the project is based on the necessities and requirements of different urban areas and the competent Authorities to offer a flexible mobility and information services to the users (information center of mobility). The project tries to harness the exchange of experiences, to transfer good practices, to make case studies, as well as to promote initiatives and models of business based on an Agency of multiservices. This Agency will be able to respond to these necessities facilitating and harnessing a social cohesion and new opportunities of work in areas MEDOC.

The project tries to reach real, innovating and demonstrable results creating an infrastructure based on the Technology of the Information and Comunication. This will allow the Agency to manage the main work and the flow of information relative to the mobility and the operational progress of logistic and transport services.
